The Tygerberg Hospital is a well-known public tertiary academic hospital situated in the Parow Valley area of Bellville, Cape Town. The hospital was commissioned in 1972 but fully opened in 1976. It is also the largest hospital in the Western Cape and the second-largest public hospital in South Africa.
